2. AC-DC reectifier with one diode
circuit 1 looks exactly the same, the negative part is cut off
forward voltage = 0.7V
at high frequency we get a stead voltage, because the capacitor is kept charged, and slowly discharged because of the resistor (higher ) so at lower frequencies the output begins to look more like a sine that goes to 0 because the period is longer, the capacitor can discharge
with a higher resistance the capacitor discharges slower, so it gives a more steady voltage at a lower frequency
